Where I am From

This will be our major project for the week. I will be introducing it today and you will be working on it throughout the week. Tuesday you will write your script and on Wednesday you will record it. Thursday we will assemble the rough draft and on Friday we will polish and publish it. I am open to your suggestions if you want to pursue a different project that includes all the components. Alphabet Partner Project

With a partner you will find and photograph at least one examples of each letter in the alphabet using natural or man made structures. You can not use written letters. Multiple examples of the same letter are a bonus but make sure you get every letter.

As a group of four, have each group member pick six - 8 letters they will prepare for an alphabet slide show. Make sure to limit yourself to only these letters so you can complete the task quickly. Use the following tutorials to learn how to make basic edits and a simple slide show. Each member should share their letters with the others through a folder on the server or a USB drive. That way everyone can practice making a slide show. Then be prepared to turn in the slide show in .WMV (High quality 800x600) file format. Name the file: lastname_alphabet.wmv

Composition Assignment

I use this activity all my classes to get students thinking about how the way you compose your image (photograph, video, and animation) helps to tell the story. You will work in small groups to complete this activity.
