Project Requirements
|
Journal — You will keep a research journal to record notes about consulted sources, group discussions, personal insights, and the general development of the research process. The journal will be turned in after the project is over and given an individual grade for each student. 60 points
Research Paper — Each student will compile all information and ideas into a research paper, using the MLA format. The paper will describe the group’s play choice, modern adaptation, and background information about the play that justifies the group’s choice. Paper must include in-text citations and a works cited list. 120 points
Performance — Your group will choose one scene from the play that is powerful and stands alone to create a modern adaptation out of. The scene must be thoroughly understood and then translated into a modern dialect. Groups must then rehearse the scene and present it to the class in their choice of performance — live performance, movie, power point, puppet show, interpretive dance, etc. 120 points
